Kelly J. Wright Sr., LCSW, CDCII, SAP
Kelly is a retired Navy veteran who has counseled active military, veterans and others for more than 20 years.
An important focus of Kelly's military and post-military career has been helping others overcome issues related to drug and alcohol misuse.
He began his career in counseling as a U.S. Navy Drug/Alcohol Counselor while on active duty. He graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and transferred to the Fleet Reserve after 20+ years in the U.S. Navy in 1998.
He completed his MSW at the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2001, and commenced working for The Salvation Army Clitheroe Center’s Dual Diagnosis program. After a year, he left Clitheroe and worked for the Veterans Administration Domiciliary in Anchorage, AK.
Due to world events, he was recalled back to active duty in 2004. He retired from the Navy after 26 years of service in 2009. After retiring, he worked at Providence Breakthrough for 16 months prior to commencing his private practice. He has been in private practice since January 2012 and serves people with mental health and addiction issues.
